You activate and manage ProVide Gateway from the ProVide web administration interface, the gateway itself is just a process that ProVide securely communicates with. After you install Gateway on Windows or Linux, you connect it to your ProVide Server and create your SFTP, HTTP, and HTTPS routes in the admin area. Each route can be turned on or off with a single button.
This keeps control in one place: you run the Gateway service in your DMZ for the extra security layer, but every route and connection is defined and switched from the ProVide GUI you already use to administer the server. Gateway terminates connections safely and never stores any data in your DMZ.
