Legacy zFTPServer extension/renewal
Yes! zFTPServer becomes ProVide. We changed the name and the logo to make it pronounceable and to better express the modern and secure capabilities of your favourite MFT (Managed File Transfer) solution. zFTPServer has continually been developed and improved for over a decade. It is about time the name truly reflected what it really is: a user friendly solution to safely and securely ProVide files and documents to/from and for businesses and consumers. We like to think of ProVide as THE solution for businesses and enterprises that should not, may not, or should think again before using DropBox, WeTransfer or Google Drive.
Will this affect me?
Yes and no.
YES; the name of the software solution, the logo, and all material and communication will use ProVide. The name, call it zFTPServer or ProVide, is a straight continuation of the development efforts we have made for more than a decade. What we changed apart from the name is introducing scaleable subscription plans for new customers. As zFTPServer is no longer being updated you should migrate to ProVide as soon as possible. Migration means downloading and installing the latest version of ProVide and running the installer which will retain all users and settings as well as accepting existing and valid licences.
NO: existing customers are, by default, not affected by payment plan changes. Activating and having an active license also means you have access to the latest updates and patches for ProVide. Apart from perhaps telling end users the logo has changed (if you haven´t customized it already) and running the ProVide installer you need not do anything. Existing customers may still purchase extension/renewal licences using the links below.
Here you may purchase extension/renewal licenses for your currently active zFTPServer license.
zFTPServer Personal extension/renewal (1 year for a number of servers) (for a number of years for 1 server)
zFTPServer Professional extension/renewal (1 year for a number of servers) (for a number of years for 1 server)
zFTPServer Corporate extension/renewal (1 year for a number of servers) (for a number of years for 1 server)
zFTPServer Enterprise extension/renewal (1 year for a number of servers) (for a number of years for 1 server)
About zFTPServer licences
All current zFTPServer customers are strongly recommended to have a look at the ProVide subscriptions plans as they may be even more cost effective. Some customers might want to change plans and some might want to retain the old licence model, which is fine. However; please note that ProVide entirely replaces zFTPServer, essentially they are the same apart from the subscription plans; meaning zFTPserver Base Licenses will no longer be available for new purchases.
zFTPServer extension licences will continue to work and you may still buy further extensions using the links here. If the extension period expires, as well as the grace period; then and only then, will you be forced to enter a ProVide subscription plan.
Why move to a ProVide license?
New features only apply to ProVide licenses and are disabled if you use a zFTPServer license. Stability or security updates (including new encryption ciphers) are implemented for all valid licence types.
ProVide is under constant development following changes in technology, operating systems and based on suggestions and requirements from our customers. Furthermore we are also developing a lot of new features such as editing of any file type from a browser interface, share, recieve and collaborate, powerful search functionality for full text pdf-searches as well as enterprise grade caching, performance-, scripting- and integration features.
