Spy User is a live monitoring tool for administrators. It lets you watch a single user’s activity on your ProVide server in real time. When you start it, ProVide opens a separate window that logs everything the selected user does during their session, so you can follow exactly what is happening as it happens.
It is useful when you need to troubleshoot a specific user’s connection, confirm what someone is doing, or keep an eye on activity for auditing and security purposes.
To watch a connected user’s session, open the Log tab, then select Server Activity. Find that user’s row, click the arrow button on its right side, and select Spy User. This opens the spy window for that session.
The spy window then shows that user’s activity as it happens: every file or folder they create, delete, upload, or download.
