In order to use WebDAV in Windows Explorer you need a real signed certificate on the server. You can map it as a network drive to get easy access to the server.
Enter the folder as:
https://<your-server.com>:<your-port>
Note: Replace <your-server.com> and <your-port> with your actual server address and port.
Due to limitation in Windows you will need to click the networkdrive and enter your password to reconnect again after a computer reboot, even though you selected that Windows should remember your credentials.
Windows got a file size limit at 50mb when using WebDAV , meaning that all files over 50mb cannot be transferred from or to the server.
This limit can be increased in the Windows Registry on each client computer:
1. Open the registry editor and go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters
2. Modify the value for FileSizeLimitInBytes
3. Restart your computer for the change to take effect.
