Icons are not shown in the admin interface, what do i do?

If you’re experiencing issues with hidden icons in the ProVide admin interface when accessing it from the local host using the server URL, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Recommended Step: Use a Modern Browser #

The issue is most likely caused by using Internet Explorer, which is outdated and not supported in many instances. We recommend installing and using either Microsoft Edge, Firefox, or Chrome to access the administration interface. This often resolves the issue immediately.

If You Must Use Internet Explorer #

If you still wish to proceed with Internet Explorer, follow the steps outlined below to add the ProVide admin interface URL to the list of trusted sites:

  1. Open Internet Explorer:
    • Launch Internet Explorer on the Windows Server where ProVide is installed.
  2. Access Internet Options:
    • Navigate to the “Internet Options” menu. You can usually find this in the Settings or Tools menu of Internet Explorer.
  3. Navigate to Security Settings:
    • Go to the “Security” tab within the Internet Options menu.
  4. Add URL to Trusted Sites:
    • Click on the “Trusted Sites” icon and then click on the “Sites” button.
    • Enter the URL of the ProVide admin interface and click “Add”. For example, if your admin interface URL is https://localhost:8443, add this URL.
  5. Adjust Security Level (Optional):
    • If adding the URL to the trusted sites does not resolve the issue, you may need to adjust the security level for the Trusted Sites zone.
    • Select the “Trusted Sites” icon and move the security level slider to a lower setting that allows for the display of icons.
  6. Apply Changes:
    • After adding the URL to the trusted sites list and adjusting the security level if needed, click “Apply” and then “OK” to save the changes.
  7. Refresh Admin Interface:
    • Refresh the ProVide admin interface in Internet Explorer to see if the icons are now visible.

By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue of hidden icons in the ProVide admin interface when using Internet Explorer. For the best experience, switching to a modern browser is highly recommended.
