How you as a user connect to ProVide depends on what kind of service you are using.
HTTPS #
To connect to ProVide using the HTTPS interface, it has to be enabled by the administrator of the server.
if its active, you simply go to https://hostname and you will see a login screen, where you enter your username and password.

FTP / FTPS / SFTP #
To connect with these protocol, you need an FTP Client and the administrator needs to activate the services on the server.
Examples of FTP Clients, are Filezilla, WinSCP etc.
Here is an example using FIlezilla.
Host: enter the hostname of the server, add sftp:// if you are using another port than the standard 22.
Enter username and password and click quickconnect.
You will then see the files one the server to right and local files on the left.
Connecting to the server using FTP / FTPS you simply change the port to 21 and do not type sftp://

The image above shows an example of a successful login when connected via FTP from a client from “Server log” and “Server activity” in Admin interface on HTTPS. FTP is one simple way to connect, but if you would like to skip the installation of a client you can connect using the HTTPS protocol.
