ProVide is the direct continuation of zFTPServer, the same development effort we’ve built for more than a decade, now under the ProVide name with scalable subscription plans for new customers. Everything, the software, the logo, and all communication, now uses the name ProVide. Because zFTPServer is no longer updated, current customers should migrate to ProVide as soon as possible. Migration simply means downloading and installing the latest version of ProVide and running the installer, which retains all your users and settings and accepts existing, valid licenses.
We think of ProVide as the solution for businesses and enterprises that shouldn’t, can’t, or should think twice before using consumer tools like Dropbox, WeTransfer, or Google Drive.
About zFTPServer licenses #
All current zFTPServer customers are strongly encouraged to look at the ProVide subscription plans, which may be even more cost-effective. If you’d like to change plans, we’re happy to help you find the right subscription. Note that ProVide entirely replaces zFTPServer: zFTPServer licenses are no longer available for new purchases.
Why move to a ProVide license? #
New features apply only to ProVide licenses and are disabled if you run a zFTPServer license. ProVide is under constant development, keeping pace with changes in technology and operating systems and responding to customer requirements. Recent and ongoing additions include:
